Day 14

After a night of thunder and lightening storms we had a very early start to our last day as we had to be up and out by 6.15, through the panic of getting ready Stephanie managed to use the men's toilet terrifying a man in the early hours of the morning.

At the train station we ate an early breakfast of Swiss McDonald's enjoyed on the floor of the station before heading onto train 1 of the day ending up in 1st class and headlining some stunning views.

During our stop in the Geneva station Izzy was listening to the song turn around, at the chorus she did in-fact turn around and almost fell face first into a bin.

While on the train to Paris some girls snuck down to first class and had a chat to the conductor and we met a young French boyscout and his dad who wanted to know all about our trip, we exchanged a trip badge with him for his blanket.

When in Paris we headed to the metro then 2 of the 3 train groups met for a delicious lunch in a French cafe, carbonara, toasties, omelette and lots and lots of crepes.

We made it through security and boarder control without a hitch and bought some final snacks and gifts. We took a final group photos as well as train group pics before heading to our final train the eurostar. Bracelets were exchanged and we all signed each other's bags to remember each other by and lots of people took much needed naps.

It was a swift but sorrowful goodbye at St Pancras everyone was happy to see parents and siblings, hugs and tears all around but everyone was glad to be home and ready for some much needed rest. Everyone's learned valuable life lessons and really benefited from this absolutely once in a life time experience, we are all so grateful for these 2 weeks we shared. There's plans for a reunion next year so we will all see each other again and be able to maintain our newfound friendships.
